Hong Kong Awards for Industries 2006
February 5, 2007 Akos is awarded the Technology Achievement Award for its dedication and achievement in the development of the two brand new products: KARLOTM Indoor Environment and Analyzer and KARLOTM NÅNOXTM Air Purifier. (Information Source: Price Giving Ceremony Brochure, Hong Kong Awards for Industries 2006) Technology Achievement Award KARLOTM Indoor Environment Analyzer KARLOTM Indoor Environment Analyzer is the world's first indoor air monitoring system. Equipped with Intelligent Environment Monitoring System1 (iEMSTM) technology, the analyzer is capable of carrying out instant data analysis, forecast problems and suggesting solutions. The analyzer features a wide range of measurement parameters, allowing for detection of low levels of normal indoor air pollutants yet maintaining highly accurate readings. More importantly, the user-friendly and comprehensive interface allows non-technical users to carry out indoor air monitoring by themselves with ease. Unlike traditional air monitoring practice that requires a few days for analysis, the KARLOTM Indoor Environment Analyzer provides instant, cost effective and easy-to-understand indoor air quality report to users. KARLOTM NÅNOXTM Air Purifier The device contains the most up-to-date purification technologies on deodorizing, removing respirable suspended particulates, bacteria, fungi, viruses and other microbial. Unlike traditional air purifiers, the NÅNOXTM technology is a "filter core self-regeneration technology" enabling the nano-oxidation of formulated nanoporous materials. The air purifier also employs the Intelligent Environment Monitoring System (iEMSTM) and Intelligent Pollutants Streaming Treatment (iPSTTM) on airflow-rate and airflow-path controls, protecting the filter core from contamination by unabsorbed respirable suspended particulates, thereby extends the filter life. This solve the problem of generating secondary pollutants, which is a common problem of other conventional air purifiers. 1Research funding is supported by Innovation Technology Fund (SERAP) of Innovation Technology Center, HKSAR |
